A night out on the town and other ramblings.

Valentine's day will be here before we know it! I have created some sweet little hair baubles to celebrate. Follow the blog before the end of the day today, and you will be entered to win one of these sweet little things! (The hair piece, not the little girl. She's mine.) Also, if you were blessed with little boys, surely you have a niece or a favorite little girl to surprise!
Speaking of this four year old, she's upstairs in her room, lying in her bed, "reading" Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy to herself. Oh my goodness, she makes my heart just explode sometimes. I told her she needed to have rest time today because we were out on the town late last night, and she had school today. The child hates naps more than anything in this world, so she came up with the idea for rest time to read in her bed. Sounds great to me!
What were we doing out on the town late last night, you ask? Toy Story 3 Disney on Ice, of course. Both of the kids were so excited! Tyler especially LOVES Toy Story! He walks around the house toting his red bin with all of the figurines from the movie, so we knew he would FREAK to see Buh (Buzz), Bobby(Barbie), Didi(Woody), Dino(Rex), and the gang. Man, were we right. I swear he stopped breathing at one point. Adorable. It was one of those moments you have as a Mom when you look over and think, "Remember this. Don't forget this very moment."
Great seats, lots of candy, and some of our best friends made for a beautiful night. As the kids took turns sitting on my lap, I will never forget the two best parts of the show. At one point, Regan whispered into my ear, "Mama, when does Barbie come out? You know she's our favorite." I never realized I had a favorite TS3 character, but I sure do now! I love her. My other favorite moment was when Tyler first saw the dump truck, he reached down and squeezed my hand. I about died of love.
Speaking of love, I am feeling it. In the past nine days, since the beginning of this blog, I have learned so much, gotten so much wonderful feedback, and connected with some seriously cool peeps. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I have big plans for this blog, and I am excited to have you all along for the journey. Let us all keep calm and carry on...

Also, the winner of the Qdoba gift card is Aubree Seaman! Congrats!

  2. We are going to Toy Story on ice Saturday. Mackie is very excited. She thinks she and the rest of us are going to dress up in our Halloween costumes and go. Boy is she wrong. She can wear Buzz though is she wants. By the way I love your hair.
